There are plugins for just about everything you can possibly imagine on WordPress. But just like themes, it can be difficult to sift through the fluff, and find those gems that truly improve your website. But when you do find a WordPress plugin that’s great, you just have to share it with others in the community. And so am I doing here. I will now showcase 7 WordPress plugins that are awesomely sweet.

  1. Event Organiser

Create and maintain events, including complex reoccurring patterns, venue management (with Google maps), calendars and customisable event lists. Event Organiser adds event management that integrates well with your WordPress site. By using WordPress’ in-built ‘custom post type’, this plug-in allows you to create events that have the same functionality as posts, while adding further features that allow you to manage your events. This includes the possibility of repeating your event according to complex schedules and assign your events to venues.

  2. Pricing Table

WordPress Pricing Table plugin will help the admin to publish pricing table on WordPress page or post content. WordPress Pricing Table plugin has full featured but easy to use administration option to create pricing table.

  3. Front End Upload

Allowing client uploads has for a long time been a troublesome problem. With the advent of things like SWFUpload back in the day, things got better, but the variance among server configurations and connection speeds proved to be problematic more often than not.

  4. WP Page Navi

Want to replace the old ← Older posts | Newer posts → links with some page links?
This plugin provides the wp_pagenavi() template tag which generates fancy pagination links.

  5. Popular This Week

Popular This Week is a plugin similar to Popularity Contest, but only records hits that happened in the last week. It then shows the most popular posts or pages in the last week as widget you can use in your theme.
It’s useful for high volume, high traffic sites where posts age quite quickly, and you do not necessarily want to direct your users to old content, but what people are reading right now.

  6. WooCommerce

An e-commerce toolkit that helps you sell anything. Beautifully.
Transform your WordPress website into a thorough-bred online eCommerce store. Delivering enterprise-level quality & features whilst backed by a name you can trust. Say hello to WooCommerce.

  7. WordPress SEO from Yoast

WordPress SEO is the most complete WordPress SEO plugin that exists today for WordPress.org users. It incorporates everything from a snippet preview and page analysis functionality that helps you optimize your pages content, images titles, meta descriptions and more to XML sitemaps, and loads of optimization options in between.

So these are some awesomely sweet plugins to make your WordPress blog work more better. If you know some others that you feel are great you can mention them in the comments.
